Promer: Brand Identity
Building and Evolving an AI Commerce Brand. Promer started as AliHunter, an internal AI tool for finding best-selling products across e-commerce marketplaces, before pivoting into an AI platform for small and mid-sized e-commerce businesses in 2024. At that point the product had a name and a function, nothing in the way of a brand story or a visual system yet.
I built Promer's founding story around Prometheus, the god who brought fire to humankind, and paired it with a name formed from "prompt" and "professional". The logo carries two meanings at once: the outer shape is a prompt dialogue bubble that is also the letter P, and the inner shape is an AI spark shaped like a shooting star, the fire Prometheus carries down in this modern retelling. Placing an abstract AI tool inside an existing myth gives the brand a story bigger than a feature list, easier to remember and easier to trust from the first touch.
From that framework, a full brand guideline took shape: a black, white and grey palette with one orange accent, an ink-line illustration system of Greek gods set against a modern skyline, plus a matching icon and photography style, carried down into stationery, brand collateral, digital formats and outdoor billboards. Once Promer's audience was clarified as solopreneurs and small e-commerce businesses who needed something more approachable, Prometheus and the AI spark, the two core details of the mark, kept their shape but moved to a lighter gradient palette and a friendlier, clearer, occasionally witty voice in place of the earlier, more assertive tone. That system now runs on the promer.ai website and the app.promer.ai web app. A brand can move and still remain itself.
